Bali (?????) Is Scenic and Tourist Friendly

Bali (?????) is one of the most popular Cretan destinations north of the island. It attracts hundreds of tourists, both local and foreign, with its postcard-pretty beaches and clear, turquoise waters.

Bali is not far from Fodele. You’ll reach in about thirty minutes by car, depending on traffic. The scenic seaside resort enjoys a strategic location in a small gulf protected by the wind. It boasts beautiful views of the Kouloukonas Mountains and the sea.

Limani Beachi in Bali

The resort clusters on the hills around the small harbor, which has the busiest beach in the area, pretty much because Limani has the largest number of tavernas and souvenir shops close to luxury and mid-range accommodation favored mainly by tourists from Germany and the Netherlands. This beach is also a good starting point for boat tours to Rethymnon or fishing trips. The water is clean and shallow, and you will be swimming close to the fishing boats in the marina.

Varkotopos Beach in Bali

Varkotopos is the second most popular beach in Bali. It is favored by families with small children because the water is shallow, clean, and usually calm. The beach is well organized, with sun loungers and umbrellas, and beach tavernas offer good Cretan fare and refreshments.

Livadi Beach in Bali

Livadi is the beach at the entrance of Bali as you drive in from Fodele. It is a long, sandy beach, with beautiful views of the center and the bay of Bali. It is less busy and less scenic compared to the other beaches in the region. Moreover, it is more exposed to wind.

Karavostasis Beach in Bali

They say Karavostasis is the most beautiful beach in Bali. It has emerald green waters and it is surrounded by wilderness. The terrain here is mostly rocky, so wear appropriate footwear. Although the beach offers some amenities, it is less organized than the others.

The sea around Bali is clear and offers excellent conditions for diving. On the seabeds, you can observe seahorses and other animals. The Hippocampos Bali Dive Center offers diving lessons for children aged eight or older and for adults. In Bali, they dive close to Karavostasis beach – which is an ideal site for beginners.
