On May 6, 2025, Fodele Beach Hotel organized an important health prevention initiative as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility activities. In collaboration with the “Doménikos Theotokópoulos” Cultural Association and the Region of Crete, we hosted a free mammogram screening day for the women of Fodele, supported by the Mobile Mammography Unit.

This initiative aimed to raise awareness within the local community about the importance of preventive care in women’s health. Through this action, 22 women from the village had the opportunity to undergo mammograms at no cost and without the hassle of travel, ensuring they could take a crucial step in monitoring their health.

The participation and positive response were truly inspiring, and we are proud to have contributed to the well-being of the local community. We would like to thank our occupational physician for his invaluable support in organizing the event, as well as the Region of Crete for providing the Mobile Mammography Unit.

Prevention remains the best approach to maintaining good health, and it is a priority for us to contribute directly to the health and well-being of our local community.

This initiative marks just the beginning for Fodele Beach Hotel, and we will continue supporting projects that have a meaningful impact on the community and the people around us.
